Getting a bedside table that works is difficult especially if you like something different to the normal flat packed furniture available or even older style furniture. Using something different takes a bit of imagination and a lot persuasion if you have a partner who does not share your point of view.

In the images you will see a piece of wood, a ladder and a wooden bench, but these are not the only unusual items that can be used, as a tub, trunk or any other object that is stable enough to the job.
